LAHORE: (Web Desk) -The Punjab government has decided to earmark Rs71 billion for a “Special Programme” in its Budget 2026-27, aimed at improving public services and accelerating development across the province.
The initiative is expected to include Digital Punjab and e-governance projects to modernize administrative systems and enhance service delivery.

Significant allocations are also likely for the education and healthcare sectors to improve facilities and accessibility for citizens. In addition, the programme will cover public transport expansion, infrastructure upgrades, provision of clean drinking water, and skill development initiatives to boost employment opportunities.
The government also plans to incorporate projects related to green energy and environmental protection, reflecting a broader focus on sustainable development and improved quality of life for the people of Punjab.
