Karachi: (Web Desk) – In the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Peshawar Zalmi secured a comfortable 8-wicket victory over Quetta Gladiators, registering their sixth win of the tournament.
Playing in Karachi, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and opted to field first, inviting Quetta Gladiators to bat.
Quetta Gladiators were bowled out for 154 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Hasan Nawaz top-scored with 37 runs, while Rilee Rossouw contributed 26. Khawaja Nafay added 20 runs, and captain Saud Shakeel scored 16.
For Peshawar Zalmi, Sufiyan Muqeem and Mohammad Basit were the standout bowlers, claiming three wickets each.
In response, Peshawar Zalmi comfortably chased down the target of 155 runs with 9 balls to spare, thanks to an impressive innings by Babar Azam.
Babar Azam remained unbeaten on 71, while Mohammad Haris scored 35, Kusal Mendis added 21, and Aamer Jamal (or Aaron Hardie, depending on squad confirmation) chipped in with 18 runs.
With this victory, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by 8 wickets, marking their sixth win in the tournament.
