PTI announced schedule, Imran Khan lead rally despite Section 144

Lahore: (Staff Reporter) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to carry out their announced rally today. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan is determined to lead pre-election rally from Zaman Park to Data Ganj Baksh shrine today.
According to the source, PTI leader and former federal minister Hammad Azhar has said that Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore had not contacted the party’s leadership regarding prohibition of PTI’s rally. He said that they were preparing for their rally that would be carried out as per their plan.
As per details Hammad Azhar also issued the rally’s route. He tweeted that the rally will start from Zaman Park, PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s residence, and will move on Allama Iqbal Road towards Garhi Shahu and Railway Station continuing to Circular Road. The rally will move through Shah Alam Chowk, Lohari Gate, Bhaati Gate and will end on Data Darbar.
Earlier, PTI Chairman had announced to carry out the rally to start the election campaign of his party in his address through video link. He announced to hold power show while addressing the PTI workers on Saturday. Addressing the workers through video link, he said that he will lead the election rally to show them that we are not animals.
Furthermore taking a jibe at caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and IG Punjab over his claims regarding death of Ali Bilal alias Zille Shah, Imran Khan said, “They lied openly before the public” and appealed the Lahore High Court Chief Justice to form a judicial commission for investigation into the matter of Zille Shah’s murder.
Moreover the former premier also demanded resignation of caretaker Punjab CM, IGP and others, and held them responsible for violence against his party workers on the rally day in Lahore, and for murder of Zille Shah. “I want to tell Judiciary and Advocates that you are those that can stop Pakistan from becoming a banana republic,” he added. The PTI chairman went on to say that effort being made to eliminate all the evidence.
Imran Khan went on to say that Minister of Defence Khawaja Asif gave the same statement as Shahbaz Gill but no action was taken against him, adding that he would ask the former SAPM to lodge case against the minister so that he would face the same punishment as he faced. Mr. Khan also alleged that the government was trying to postpone the election by assassinating him.
Imran khan lead scheduled rally in Lahore: Shah Mahmood Qureshi
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Imran Khan will lead the scheduled rally today in Lahore and they will challenge imposition of Section 144.
Meanwhile he said that PTI will contact the Election Commission of Pakistan in the morning about imposition of Section 144 in Lahore. He said that PTI will also move Lahore High Court (LHC) against this act of caretaker government. He told that Babar Awan will meet Chief Election Commissioner in the morning and will request him to take action upon Section 144.
As per details speaking to media at Zaman Park late night, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that PTI’s senior leadership had discussed the situation in detail. He said that PTI will carry out their scheduled rally. He also called upon PTI supporters and workers to participate in the rally.
According to the source, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan will lead the rally. He directed the PTI supporters to remain peaceful and urged them to participate in the rally. He said that they didn’t want any conflict. He said that the government was running away from elections and was looking for conflict for postponement of elections.
