Private Hajj 2025 Packages Launched as Ministry Partners with Tour Operators

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced a new agreement with private Hajj tour operators, allowing them to start accepting bookings for Hajj 2025. Under the new arrangement, bookings will be accepted until January 31, with a key stipulation that packages costing more than 30 lakh rupees must receive approval from the Hajj Formulation Committee. These operators will also need to submit their Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) data for transparency.

This move aims to streamline the Hajj process while meeting the increasing demand for private Hajj services. The Ministry’s spokesperson emphasized that this policy is designed to ensure accountability and fair practice in the Hajj booking system.

Meanwhile, the Hajj application process for the limited government quota has commenced. Applicants are required to submit the first two installments, totaling Rs 60,000,000, along with their forms. The applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at designated banks nationwide. The Ministry has confirmed that only 5,000 pilgrims will be allowed to perform Hajj under the Government Hajj Scheme, and once this limit is reached, the application process will close.

Applicants are urged to submit their forms as soon as possible due to the limited availability under the government scheme, with additional costs for services such as Qurbani and separate rooms to be charged separately.
