Aliyev Praises Productive Meeting, Confident in Strengthening Azerbaijan-Pakistan Ties

ISLAMABAD: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the people of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

In a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Aliyev expressed his sincere wishes on behalf of himself and the people of Azerbaijan. He emphasized the growing strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, noting the cooperation between the two nations continues to strengthen in various areas such as economy, transport, logistics, energy, investment, and defense industry.

The Azerbaijani President also highlighted the alignment of both countries on international issues and their mutual support, underscoring the brotherly relations that define Azerbaijan-Pakistan ties. He expressed that these strong ties are built on shared cultural values, solidarity, and the mutual trust between the peoples of both nations.

Aliyev also praised the productive meeting held during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s state visit to Azerbaijan the previous month. He expressed confidence that the agreements and documents signed during the visit would further deepen the bilateral relations and help unlock the economic and trade potential of both countries.
