PPP Emerges Top Winner in Reserved Seat Allocation

Election Commission Announces Gilgit-Baltistan Reserved Seat Distribution

Gilgit: (Web Desk) The Election Commission has finalized the distribution of reserved seats in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly after completing the post-election allocation process, according to reports on Saturday.

Under the official allocation, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) emerged as the biggest beneficiary of women’s reserved seats, securing three positions in the assembly.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) were each awarded one reserved seat for women based on their representation in the legislature.

The Election Commission also allocated three technocrat seats among political parties in line with their strength in the assembly.

As a result, PPP, PML-N and IPP each received one technocrat seat, ensuring representation for professionals and experts within the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly.
