PM Shehbaz departs for official visit to Saudi Arabia

Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for an official visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The prime minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to hold talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on ways to further strengthen the longstanding brotherly ties and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The leaders are also expected to exchange views on the evolving regional situation and issues of mutual interest.

As part of his visit, the prime minister will perform Umrah in Makkah and pay his respects at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

According to the Foreign Office, the visit is aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation, promoting regional peace and stability, and strengthening diplomatic coordination between the two countries on key regional and international issues.
