PM Shahbaz Announces Measures to Provide Relief in Energy Sector

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced that the government is taking significant steps to provide relief to the public in the energy sector. Addressing the media after a Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister assured that efforts are underway to ease the energy burden on the citizens.

In addition to energy reforms, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the importance of education for women, referencing a successful conference held in Islamabad focused on female education. He acknowledged the significant challenges faced in this area, stressing the crucial role of education in societal development.

The Prime Minister also expressed his pleasure at the visit of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Muslim World League to Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of global cooperation in advancing educational and cultural exchanges.

On the topic of the national airline, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Prime Minister Sharif congratulated the Cabinet on the successful restoration of PIA flights to Europe. He expressed optimism that the airline’s operations would soon extend to London, marking a major milestone for the national carrier.

Prime Minister Sharif also discussed the improving situation in Kurram, where security forces are working towards stability. He assured the public that food and medical supplies had been delivered to the region, and he urged all stakeholders to continue their collective efforts to maintain peace in Kurram.

Additionally, the Prime Minister praised the sacrifices of Pakistan’s security forces, stating that the nation deeply appreciates the contributions of the Pakistan Army in ensuring the country’s defense.

These announcements come as part of the government’s broader agenda to address key challenges and improve the living standards of citizens across the country.
