PK 306 Flight Lands with Missing Wheel in Lahore

Investigation Launched into Missing Wheel on PK 306 Flight

LAHORE: A significant safety concern has been raised after a National Airline (PIA) flight PK 306 landed in Lahore with one missing wheel.

According to sources, flight PK 306, which departed from Karachi to Lahore at 8 PM last night, landed with one of its front wheels missing. After the flight took off, some aircraft parts were found at Karachi Airport.

Sources have confirmed that the missing wheel is yet to be located, which is considered a serious flight safety issue. The aircraft’s front wheels are equipped with two tires, but during the landing in Lahore, only one tire was present.

It is believed that the missing wheel may have fallen off during the flight. The missing wheel was discovered during the inspection at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore.

The Safety Investigation Board has initiated an inquiry into the matter, according to the spokesperson for the National Airline. The spokesperson stated that after the flight PK 306’s safe landing in Lahore, the missing wheel was noticed. The administration and the Safety Investigation Board have started the investigation process.

The spokesperson further mentioned that the final report will reveal the exact cause, but preliminary observations suggest that a potential FOD (Foreign Object Damage) on the Karachi runway may have caused the tire damage. However, the aircraft made a safe and smooth landing in Lahore, and the aircraft’s design allows for such occurrences.
