Pigeon Flock Disrupts England vs West Indies ODI at The Oval

The brief avian delay added a humorous moment to an otherwise intense match.

London – An unusual interruption occurred during the third One Day International (ODI) between England and the West Indies at the Kennington Oval on Tuesday, when a flock of pigeons invaded the field.

The unexpected visitors temporarily halted play, prompting laughter from the crowd. As England’s Matthew Potts prepared to throw the ball, the pigeons scattered—except for one defiant bird that lingered on the pitch.

Potts made a light-hearted attempt to catch the lone pigeon, which eventually took flight, allowing the game to resume.

The brief avian delay added a humorous moment to an otherwise intense match.
