Election for New President of Pakistan Hockey Federation Set for Extraordinary Congress.
Karachi: An extraordinary meeting of the Pakistan Hockey Federation Congress (PHF) is scheduled to take place in Karachi on March 19.
The Secretary of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Haider Hussain, issued a press release regarding the matter.
According to Article 12.10.2 of the PHF, an extraordinary congress has been called to fill the vacant position of the president following the resignation of Khalid Sajjad Khokhar
As per the announcement by the Secretary-General of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Haider Hussain, the congress meeting of the PHF will be held at Ramada Plaza Hotel in Karachi at 10:00 AM on March 19.
The press release states that Mir Tariq Hussain Bajwa has been nominated for the position of president as per Article 15 of the PHF. His nomination was made through a letter from the Ministry of IPC Letter No. 5-2/2017-IPC-S-I(2) dated February 1, 2024, along with the notification from the Pakistan Sports Board bearing notification number F.7-18/2020-PSB(NF) dated December 22, 2023, and the amended notification number F.7-18/2020-PSB(NF) dated February 2, 2024.
According to the agenda, elections for the position of president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation will be conducted during the meeting, where the PHF Congress members will elect the new president.
