Petrol Price Today Pakistan Drops Rs4 Per Litre

Petrol Price Today Pakistan Fixed at Rs377.78 from June 6

Islamanad – (Web Desk) – Pakistanis got some relief as the petrol price today Pakistan has been reduced by Rs4 per litre. The federal government set the new rate at Rs377.78, down from Rs381.78, effective from June 6, 2026.

The Petroleum Division issued an official notification confirming the weekly fuel price revision. The cut comes as global oil markets showed signs of easing pressure.

High-speed diesel (HSD) price remains unchanged at Rs380.78 per litre. Diesel powers heavy transport, trucks, buses, trains, and farm machinery, so its stable rate brings relief to the logistics sector.

However, kerosene oil users face a price hike. The government raised kerosene by Rs8.70 per litre, pushing the new rate to Rs280.70. This directly affects low-income households that rely on kerosene for cooking and lighting.

Pakistan has been reviewing petroleum prices on a weekly basis since the US-Israeli conflict with Iran on February 28. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz — a vital oil route carrying one-fifth of global supplies — triggered a worldwide fuel crunch.

Last week, the government had cut both petrol and diesel by Rs22 per litre as an Eid ul Adha gift to the nation. Petrol was set at Rs381.78 and diesel at Rs380.78 on May 29.

Global oil prices also dipped on Friday. Brent crude fell to $93.84 a barrel and US crude dropped to $91.22, with both heading toward their first weekly gain in three weeks.

Petrol mainly fuels motorcycles, rickshaws, and small cars — vehicles used daily by middle and lower-income commuters. Every rupee reduction in petrol brings real savings to millions of households.
