Peshawar University’s journalism department to be renamed after Arshad Sharif

ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to rename the Journalism Department at the University of Peshawar after the late journalist Arshad Sharif.

According to Provincial Education Minister Meena Khan Afridi, the decision will be implemented on the directives of Chief Minister KP, Ali Amin Gandapur. He stated that the government had been instructed to rename the journalism department of one of the universities in Sharif’s honour.

further said that emergency measures are being taken to execute the decision, adding that journalists have played a vital role in the restoration of true democracy in Pakistan.
