Pakistan vs Australia ODI Series Begins Tomorrow in Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Pakistan and Australia are set to face off in the opening match of their three-match One Day International (ODI) series, with preparations completed ahead of the first game scheduled for Saturday in Rawalpindi.

The first ODI will begin at 4:30 pm Pakistan Standard Time at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The remaining two matches of the series will be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, with the second ODI scheduled for June 2 and the third and final match set for June 4, 2026.

Security arrangements have been significantly tightened around Gaddafi Stadium to ensure smooth conduct of the matches, with authorities implementing enhanced measures for players, officials, and spectators.

Pakistan Intra-Squad Practice Match Begins Ahead of Australia ODI Series

Pakistan’s head coach Mike Hesson praised the squad’s fitness, discipline, and training standards, highlighting a positive atmosphere within the team camp.

Speaking to the media at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Hesson said the ODI series against Australia holds major importance for Pakistan as the team continues preparations for upcoming international competitions, including the next World Cup.

He added that playing against a strong side like Australia would provide valuable experience and help the team refine its combination and strategies.

Pakistan will be led by captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, with a squad featuring Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, and other key players. Australia will also field a strong squad including Marnus Labuschagne, Alex Carey, Adam Zampa, and Cameron Green.

The series is expected to be a competitive contest between two top international sides as both teams aim to test bench strength and build momentum ahead of future ICC events.
