Faisalabad – The International Council of Wheelchair Cricket (ICWC) has officially confirmed that Pakistan will remain the host for the 3rd T20 Wheelchair Cricket Asia Cup 2026. This decision comes after extensive consultations with the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council (PWCC) and support from the state government.
Schedule Update & Venue Shift
Originally slated for earlier dates, the tournament has been rescheduled due to the global impact of ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, which have affected international logistics and travel.
- New Dates: Starting the last week of September 2026.
- Host Cities: Matches will be held in Karachi and Hyderabad.
The “Hybrid Model” Contingency
While the current plan is to host the full tournament in Pakistan with five participating teams, the ICWC is keeping a “Hybrid Model” on the table. This is primarily to address potential travel hurdles for those not to travel Pakistan, Wheelchair Cricket team due to the sensitive political climate.
Note: If a full migration to Pakistan isn’t possible for all teams, the PWCC is considering hosting select matches in neutral venues such as Oman or Sri Lanka, depending on budget evaluations.

Financial & Logistical Outlook
