Pakistan Summons Afghan Envoy Over Bajaur Terror Attack

Pakistan Condemns Bajaur Attack, Demands Taliban Take Concrete Action

Islamabad (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Foreign Office summoned the Afghan Deputy Head of Mission on Wednesday to deliver a stern demarche to the Afghan Taliban over the terrorist attack in Bajaur on 16 February, which claimed the lives of 11 Pakistani soldiers.

In a statement issued Thursday, the Foreign Office strongly condemned the vehicle-borne suicide attack and subsequent fire raid on Pakistan Military and Law Enforcement Agencies’ post, carried out by the militant group Fitna al-Khwarij (FAK)/Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

The spokesperson emphasized Pakistan’s concern that FAK/TTP leadership operates freely from Afghan soil, despite repeated assurances from the Afghan Taliban regime. Pakistan has urged the regime to take immediate, concrete, and verifiable measures against all terror groups active within its territory, including their leadership.

The Foreign Office also warned that Pakistan reserves the right to respond and neutralize members of FAK and its affiliates wherever they may be, in order to safeguard its soldiers, civilians, and territorial integrity.
