Pakistan Strikes Back After Unprovoked Afghan Border Assault

ISLAMABAD — The Pakistan Armed Forces responded forcefully to a “minor-level coordinated kinetic attack” launched from across the border by Afghan posts, destroying multiple positions in retaliation. Military officials described the aggression as part of a broader Indian‑backed plot to empower TTP militants and destabilize Pakistan’s border regions.
According to defense statements, the strike on Pakistani positions was met with proportional, multi-domain military force targeting all engaged threats. The Pakistani artillery campaign reportedly leveled several Afghan posts.

The cross‑border clash drew swift diplomatic attention. Nations including Saudi Arabia and Qatar expressed deep concern, urging restraint, diplomatic engagement, and de-escalation. They underlined support for regional and international efforts to foster peace, security, and stability for both Pakistani and Afghan people.
