Azerbaijan Reaffirms Strong Support for Pakistan Amid India Tensions

Lahore: In a strong display of diplomatic support, Pakistan has reaffirmed its solidarity with Azerbaijan in response to India’s recent boycott campaign targeting the country. Federal Minister for Communications and President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, Abdul Aleem Khan, visited the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Islamabad to meet with Ambassador H.E. Khazar Farhadov.

During the meeting, Abdul Aleem Khan expressed heartfelt gratitude to Azerbaijan for its continued support of Pakistan, stating, “Thank you for standing with Pakistan once again.” He condemned India’s recent actions, including the cancellation of tourist visas and the launch of a negative propaganda campaign on social media against Azerbaijan, calling it a sign of India’s growing frustration.

“Azerbaijan is being targeted only because of its principled friendship with Pakistan,” Khan emphasized, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to stand by Azerbaijan at every step.

Ambassador Farhadov warmly welcomed the Minister’s visit and highlighted Azerbaijan’s unwavering support for Pakistan during its conflict with India. He shared that the people of Azerbaijan had enthusiastically celebrated Pakistan’s success on May 10 and emphasized the longstanding religious, cultural, and fraternal ties between the two nations.

The Ambassador also criticized India’s use of its film industry to spread anti-Azerbaijan sentiment but reaffirmed that Azerbaijan would remain firm in its stance alongside Pakistan.
