Pakistan Reaffirms Diplomatic Efforts for Regional Peace
He stated that Türkiye has consistently supported Pakistan’s peace initiatives
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) — The Foreign Office has said that Pakistan will continue its efforts to promote peace and stability through sustained diplomatic engagement with regional and global partners, including the United States and Iran.
According to a weekly press briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan firmly believes in dialogue-based diplomacy to resolve complex international issues.
He stated that Türkiye has consistently supported Pakistan’s peace initiatives, while its leadership has appreciated the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The spokesperson further said the Prime Minister recently held meetings with European Union leadership, where both sides emphasized the importance of negotiations and peaceful resolution of disputes.

He added that the Prime Minister has maintained contact with the leadership of Iran and Saudi Arabia, with Iran reportedly appreciating Pakistan’s diplomatic role and agreeing to send a delegation to Islamabad.
Tahir Andrabi also noted that Saudi Arabia continues to play a significant role in Pakistan’s economic stability, while thanking the Saudi Crown Prince for ongoing support.
He confirmed that the Prime Minister also met the Emir of Qatar, who acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in reducing regional tensions.
Responding to a question, the spokesperson clarified that Pakistan considers Somaliland to be part of Somalia in line with its official diplomatic position.
