Gold Prices Rise Sharply in Local and International Markets

gold prices climbed by $44 to $4,616 per ounce, up from $4,572.

KARACHI (Web Desk) — Gold prices increased in the local market on Thursday, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs4,400 to settle at Rs483,962, compared to Rs479,562 on the previous trading day.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs3,772 to Rs414,919 from Rs411,147, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs3,458 to Rs380,356 against Rs376,898.

In the international market, gold prices climbed by $44 to $4,616 per ounce, up from $4,572.

Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded an increase. The per tola rate rose by Rs55 to Rs7,821 from Rs7,766, while the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs47 to Rs6,705 from Rs6,658.

Globally, silver prices went up by $0.55 to $73.37 per ounce from $72.82.
