Pakistan Kills 26 Militants in Targeted Afghan Border Strike Against Fitna al-Khawarij

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – (Web Desk) – Pakistan kills 26 militants in Afghan border strike, the government announced on Wednesday, following a series of deadly attacks on security forces across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed the operation, saying it targeted the Fitna al-Khawarij network operating from hideouts just across the Afghan border.

The strikes came in direct response to three recent militant attacks. These included an assault on a Frontier Constabulary post in Musa Darra, a suicide attack on a military checkpoint in North Waziristan, and a raid on the Bannu police station.

According to Tarar, four major militant facilities were completely destroyed. These included a training centre, a weapons depot, safe houses, and other planning infrastructure used by terrorists.

The targeted sites were linked to two identified militant commanders — Aalim Khan Khushali and Akhtar Muhammad Janikhel — both of whom were actively directing cross-border attacks against Pakistan.

Officials said all strikes were carried out with precision to avoid any civilian casualties. The operation was described as controlled, limited, and based on solid intelligence gathered over time.

The minister reaffirmed that under the ongoing Azm-e-Istehkam framework, Pakistan’s security forces will continue operations against terrorism with full force until the threat is completely eliminated.

He added that protecting citizens and defending national security remains the government’s top priority, and that support from across the border will no longer go unanswered.
