President Asif Ali Zardari welcomed the Iranian leader with full state honors. Both sides held detailed discussions on regional peace, economic cooperation, border stability, and connectivity projects. Pakistan reaffirmed its support for Iran’s sovereignty, stability, and unity.
The leaders also exchanged views on ongoing Iran-US talks in Switzerland. Pakistan’s role as a facilitator of dialogue was recognized as an important step toward regional peace and stability.
