ICT Export Remittances Surge To Record Levels In Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Export remittances from Pakistan’s information and communication technology sector have reached a record level during the fiscal year 2025–26, according to data released on Wednesday by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.
The report shows that ICT export earnings in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year have already surpassed the total annual exports recorded in 2024–25, marking a significant milestone for the country’s digital economy.
During this period, total ICT export remittances reached $3.81 billion, reflecting strong growth in services exports. In April 2026 alone, the sector generated $423 million, showing a 33.4% increase compared to April 2025, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan.

The April figure also showed a 2.4% rise compared to March 2026, indicating steady month-on-month growth. Overall, ICT exports recorded a sharp increase from $317 million in April 2025, highlighting consistent upward momentum in the sector.
Officials say the sustained growth reflects rising global demand for Pakistani IT and telecom services, as well as the sector’s expanding contribution to foreign exchange earnings and economic stability.
