Bangladesh Dominate Pakistan With Strong Batting In Second Test

Sylhet: (Web Desk) – Bangladesh national cricket team were bowled out for 390 runs in their second innings during the ongoing second Test against Pakistan national cricket team in Sylhet, setting Pakistan a challenging target of 437 runs for victory.

Resuming the third day at 110 for 3, Bangladesh strengthened their position through an impressive innings by Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored 137 runs. Liton Das added 69, while Mahmudul Hasan contributed 52 runs. Mominul Haq and Taijul Islam chipped in with 30 and 22 runs respectively.

For Pakistan, Khurram Shahzad claimed four wickets, while Sajid Khan picked up three and Hasan Ali took two wickets.

Bangladesh currently lead the two-match Test series 1-0 after securing a 104-run victory in the opening Test.

Earlier in the match, Pakistan were dismissed for 232 runs in their first innings despite a fighting 68-run knock from Babar Azam. Shan Masood scored 21, Salman Agha made 21, and Sajid Khan added 38 runs lower down the order.

Bangladesh’s bowling attack was led by Naheed Rana and Taijul Islam, who claimed three wickets each, while Taskin Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up two wickets apiece.

On the opening day, Bangladesh posted 278 runs in their first innings, powered by a brilliant century from Liton Das, who scored 126 runs. Pakistan’s bowlers were led by Khurram Shahzad with four wickets and Mohammad Abbas with three.
