Pakistan Announces Playing XI for First Test Against West Indies

LAHORE – Pakistan has revealed its playing XI for the upcoming first Test match against the West Indies, scheduled to begin tomorrow in Multan.

Shan Masood will captain the national team, with a squad featuring Saud Shakeel, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Hurraira, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Sajid Khan, Nauman Ali, Khurram Shehzad, and Abrar Ahmed.

In a strategic move, the team management has opted for three spinners and one fast bowler to tackle the West Indies, following a successful approach used in Pakistan’s last Test in Multan. In October of last year, Pakistan defeated England by 152 runs, employing a similar spin-heavy strategy.

This combination is seen as the best approach to exploit the conditions in Multan, known for supporting spinners, as Pakistan aims for a strong start in the Test series.
