Pakistan and Azerbaijan Sign Key Agreements and MoUs
PM Shehbaz expressed his gratitude for President Aliyev’s invitation and warm hospitality.

Baku– Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed several important memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and agreements, further strengthening bilateral ties. The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Ilham Aliyev.
Among the key agreements, a framework amendment agreement for the purchase and sale of LNG was signed. Additionally, a MoU was signed between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) for the White Oil Pipeline project, and another MoU was signed between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and Pakistan Refinery Limited.
A cultural cooperation MoU was also signed between the cities of Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, and Lahore, Pakistan, further fostering people-to-people exchanges.
During a joint press conference following the signing ceremony, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that both countries are committed to enhancing their partnership. He noted that they share a common perspective on regional security and that significant progress in bilateral cooperation was made during his visit to Pakistan last year. He also highlighted the vast potential for expanding economic and trade relations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude for President Aliyev’s invitation and warm hospitality. He remarked that efforts are underway to make Islamabad as beautiful as Baku. The Prime Minister also emphasized the constructive discussions held with President Aliyev, stating that both countries’ relations are reaching new heights. He announced that agreements worth $2 billion in investments will be signed in Islamabad in April, benefiting the people of both nations.
