Pakistan, Afghanistan play out goalless draw in Asian Cup Qualifier in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Afghanistan settled for a goalless draw in their AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifier match held in Islamabad on Thursday.

Neither side managed to find the net in the first half. Pakistan created several opportunities in the second half but failed to capitalize. Forward Otis Khan missed a decisive penalty that could have put the Green Shirts ahead.

In the final minutes, both teams launched aggressive attacks but the match ended 0-0, leaving the tie open ahead of the return fixture.
