Pakistan Afghanistan Border Strikes Kill Dozens Amid Rising Tensions
Pakistan Afghanistan Border Strikes Spark Civilian Casualties and Diplomatic Crisis
Pakistan vs Afghanistan – (Web Desk) – Pakistan Afghanistan border strikes have once again pushed two neighbouring countries to the edge, as Islamabad launched fresh military operations targeting militant hideouts in eastern Afghanistan. Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed the strikes were a direct response to a deadly militant attack in Karachi.
Pakistan says its military targeted groups like Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and the Pakistani Taliban, known as TTP. However, Afghan authorities say the strikes killed dozens of civilians, not militants. Both sides are telling very different stories about what actually happened on the ground.
This is not the first time these two countries have clashed. Since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan in 2021, relations between Kabul and Islamabad have grown worse every year. A weeks-long war broke out in February, and even after a ceasefire in March, the violence never fully stopped.
Afghanistan strongly denies that its land is used as a safe base for militants. Afghan officials say Pakistani strikes are killing innocent people, including women and children. The international community, including China and Qatar, has tried to bring both sides to the table, but peace talks have so far failed.
As Pakistan also plays a role in mediating between the United States and Iran, it finds itself managing two major conflicts at once. Experts warn that without a serious diplomatic solution, this cycle of strikes and retaliation will keep repeating.
