Pakistan Afghan Crackdown July 2026: Arrest Order Issued
Pakistan Launches Pakistan Afghan Crackdown July 2026 as Interior Ministry Orders Nationwide Arrests of Undocumented Afghans
Pakistan – (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s interior ministry has launched the Pakistan Afghan crackdown July 2026, ordering law enforcement agencies across the country to arrest any Afghan national found living without a valid visa, effective from July 10.
The ministry sent a formal letter to all four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Islamabad administration, directing agencies to speed up the deportation and repatriation of illegal Afghan residents.
Under the new directive, any Afghan citizen found without a valid visa will be arrested on the spot. Law enforcement has also been asked to submit a daily report to the ministry starting July 11, covering the number of arrests, actions taken, and the current status of those detained.
The order came just one day after a deadly attack on a Pakistan Rangers camp in Karachi. Three Rangers personnel were martyred and four others were injured when militants detonated a blast at the camp’s main gate and tried to break through the security perimeter.
Security forces responded quickly and eliminated three of the attackers while capturing one militant alive. The captured terrorist identified himself as Usman Ali, a member of Jamaat ul Ahrar, a group with reported links to India.
Usman Ali said he is from Jalalabad in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province. He also named three other attackers involved in the assault — Abdul Hadi, Janan, and Umar Farooq — and revealed that all of them received training in Afghanistan, including suicide jacket preparation, under an instructor named Umar Qari.
Following the attack, Pakistan’s Foreign Office summoned the Afghan Charge d’Affaires and issued a strong demarche. At the same time, Pakistan’s Ambassador in Kabul also conveyed the same message directly to the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
