No Meaningful Dialogue Possible with PTI;Khawaja Asif

Islamabad-(Mudassar Iqbal)-Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has expressed skepticism about the possibility of “meaningful negotiations” with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) amidst the prevailing political unrest. In a conversation with Geo News in Sialkot, Asif accused the PTI of creating an unfavorable environment for reconciliation ¹.
The PTI, founded by Imran Khan, has been threatening to launch a civil disobedience movement if its demands are not met. These demands include a judicial probe into the crackdown on party supporters. Khan, who was ousted as prime minister in 2022, has been warning the government about the potential consequences of not meeting these demands ¹.
Interestingly, despite the tensions, there have been reports of a possible return to dialogue between the PTI and the government. According to sources, the government has agreed to sit down with the PTI to defuse the prevailing political tensions ¹.
