Action Against Tax Defaulters: Over 40 Shops Sealed in Quetta
Utility Services to be Shifted for Unhindered Work on Development Projects
Quetta(Staff Reporter)-Commissioner Quetta Division Hamza Shafaqat has emphasized the need for timely completion of development projects, urging the removal of all obstacles to ensure progress. He warned that no delay will be tolerated in the completion of public welfare projects.
In a meeting with the Coordination Committee, Shafaqat stressed the importance of accelerating work on development projects for the improvement of Quetta city. He directed relevant officers to ensure completion of projects and take immediate steps to shift utility services during development projects.
Shafaqat also announced measures to monitor development projects through a GIS mapping system, ensuring transparency and swift removal of difficulties. He instructed all concerned departments to submit reports on progress and difficulties.
In a separate initiative, over 40 shops were sealed in Fire Brigade Plaza, Quetta, for tax defaulting, with several individuals detained for interfering with government work. This move aims to ensure timely tax collection and improve revenue generation, aligning with Administrator Quetta Muhammad Hamza Shafaqat’s vision.
