Stability Essential for Development, Attaullah Tarar

Islamabad(Mudassar Iqbal)-Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar addressed the CEO Summit, congratulating the CEO Club Islamabad for organizing the event. He highlighted the Pakistan Muslim League (N)’s efforts in creating a business-friendly environment, citing their policies’ positive impact on the business community.

Tarar recalled the PML-N’s achievements during their tenure, including a 5.8% growth rate, 4% inflation rate, and significant foreign direct investment, particularly under the CPEC project. He noted that international financial journals and institutions predicted Pakistan’s entry into the G20 within six or seven years.

The Information Minister emphasized the importance of stability for development and investment, stating that the PML-N focused on ensuring a safe environment in the country. He highlighted two major challenges: the energy crisis, which was resolved through efficient plants and cooperation with the private and public sectors, and the security situation, which improved through the National Action Plan and cooperation with security forces.

Tarar Credits Government for Reducing Inflation to Single Digit

Tarar also discussed the previous government’s risk of default and the difficulties faced by exporters due to currency fluctuations. He credited the PML-N’s policies for restoring confidence, saving the country from default, and promoting business-friendly policies.
