NHMP Issues Travel Advisory Amid Ongoing Rainfall Across Country

NHMP Urges Caution, Offers Helpline Support Amid Rain

Islamabad – The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has issued a travel advisory in light of the ongoing rainfall affecting various regions of Pakistan. The advisory comes as roads become increasingly wet and slippery, heightening the risk of traffic accidents.

Motorists are strongly urged to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines. The NHMP advises drivers to reduce their speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead, ensure that headlights and windshield wipers are in good working condition, and avoid sudden braking. Importantly, the use of mobile phones while driving is strictly discouraged to prevent distractions and ensure full concentration on the road.

Special emphasis has been placed on tourists and travelers heading toward hilly and mountainous regions, where weather conditions can change rapidly and road surfaces may be more hazardous.

The NHMP has reiterated its commitment to ensuring public safety and has urged travelers to contact the NHMP Helpline 130 for assistance during travel.

“Your safety and a secure journey are our top priority,” stated NHMP Public Relations Officer Saqib Waheed.
