National Security Workshop organized by Army wraps up in Peshawar

Pakistan Army’s National Security Workshop in Peshawar strengthens unity, discusses terrorism, misleading propaganda, and engages youth, leaders, and civil society.

Peshawar – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk)- The Pakistan Army successfully concluded the National Security Workshop in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The two-week national-level event, held from January 11 to 22, 2026, brought together a diverse group of participants, including community elders, academics, media representatives, political leaders, youth, and members of civil society.

Around 80 percent of attendees were from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly the merged districts, while the remaining 20 percent came from other regions across the country. The workshop featured 91 participants and 150 scholars from local universities in Peshawar. Attendees also had the opportunity to attend special sessions with the Prime Minister of Pakistan and other senior government officials.

In the final session, the Corps Commander Peshawar held a special session with the participants to discuss national security, misleading propaganda and measures against terrorism.

On this occasion, certificates were distributed among the participants and a wreath was laid at the Martyrs’ Memorial.

The participants paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army against terrorism and reiterated their unwavering commitment to the Pakistani Armed Forces.
