Naqvi Accuses India of Undermining Indus Treaty, Calls for Diplomatic Resolution
Naqvi says impartial probe into Pahalgam attack will expose its masterminds, beneficiaries
Islamabad — Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has accused India of attempting to undermine the Indus Waters Treaty under the pretext of the recent Pahalgam false flag incident, warning that such actions pose a grave threat to regional peace and Pakistan’s water security.
During a meeting with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Minister Naqvi expressed concerns over India’s narrative surrounding the Pahalgam incident, which India has used to make baseless allegations against Pakistan. Naqvi emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to peace but warned that the country would not remain silent in the face of such aggression.
“India has attacked the Indus Waters Treaty, which is a lifeline for us, under the guise of the Pahalgam incident,” said Naqvi, while reiterating Pakistan’s demand for an impartial investigation into the attack. He emphasized that a fair probe would reveal the true perpetrators and expose their motives.
