Multan Sultans release players under rest day policy

Multan Sultans allow Farhan, Maqsood break under free day policy

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – In Lahore, the management of Multan Sultans has temporarily released opening batter Sahibzada Farhan and senior player Sohaib Maqsood from the squad to allow them to spend time off during a scheduled break.

According to a team spokesperson, Farhan has traveled to Peshawar, while Maqsood has returned to Multan. The decision was made under the team’s “free day” policy on the instructions of head coach Tim Paine and team owner Gohar Shah.

The policy allows players complete freedom on rest days to relax, spend time with family, and mentally recharge. Team management emphasized that such breaks are essential for maintaining focus and improving performance during high-pressure matches.

Officials added that reducing mental fatigue and ensuring balanced rest are key strategies to help players perform at their best throughout the tournament.
