Meteorological Department Warns Of Intense Heatwave Across Pakistan Until June 12

Pakistan Heatwave Alert Issued Until June 12 Nationwide

Islamabad: (Web Desk) The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning for several cities across Pakistan from Sunday through June 12.

Under the advisory, temperatures in Karachi are expected to range between 40°C and 43°C. Meanwhile, parts of Sindh and Balochistan could experience extreme heat, with mercury levels climbing between 48°C and 51°C.

Several districts of Punjab are also likely to face scorching conditions, where temperatures may rise from 44°C to 48°C. In the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, daytime temperatures are forecast to remain between 41°C and 46°C.

Authorities have advised citizens to minimize outdoor activities and avoid direct sunlight, particularly between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, when heat intensity is expected to be at its peak.

In Islamabad, hot and dry weather is forecast for today. The temperature reached 31°C during the early morning hours and is expected to climb to around 36°C later in the day.

The Meteorological Department has also predicted the possibility of rainfall in upper regions of the country, including parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, offering some relief from the prevailing hot weather conditions.
