Meheq Khokhar Inspires Young Girls at ACHIEVE Program Role Model Talk in Islamabad
Islamabad: A Role Model Talk was held under the ACHIEVE program at IMSG F-7/2, featuring Pakistan’s National Tennis Champion, Meheq Khokhar. A Gold and Silver medalist in the National Games (2019 & 2023), Meheq is a prominent representative of WAPDA and the Billie Jean King Cup team. Her inspiring journey of becoming one of Pakistan’s youngest international competitors, reaching an ITF final, and winning a WTA main-draw match captivated the young audience.
The ACHIEVE program, a collaboration between Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education (PAGE) and King’s Trust International (KTI), with funding support from Zindigi (powered by J.S Bank), aims to equip young girls aged 13-18 with essential life skills and enhance their personal and academic development. Currently, ACHIEVE Phase II is being implemented in Five government schools across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and in two community Schools in Lakki Marwat building on the success of Phase I. The program provides an engaging platform to foster resilience, encourage leadership, and empower girls to pursue their aspirations.
This impactful session was attended by Headmistress Ms. Amara, PAGE Program Manager Wajeeha Ahmed, Program Support Officer Nouman Ali, and Achieve Advisors Sadia Qamar and Fozia Gul. With a total of 49 students from two cohorts participating, the talk provided an invaluable opportunity for the young Achieve Leaders to gain insights from a national icon.

Meheq Khokhar shared her personal journey, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, discipline, and goal-setting. The session focused on career exploration, overcoming challenges, and building a resilient personality. The students demonstrated immense enthusiasm and optimism, reflecting their determination to achieve their goals and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
This Role Model Talk is part of ACHIEVE’s mission to inspire and guide young girls, equipping them with the tools and confidence to overcome barriers and embrace their potential. Through initiatives like these, PAGE continues to pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future for young girls in Pakistan.
