In response, the ministry has launched an emergency vaccination campaign, targeting 30 highly affected areas. Authorities hope the initiative will curb the spread of the disease and prevent further deaths.

Director of Communicable Disease Control stated that the number of infections and deaths this year is higher than in previous years. Contributing factors may include vaccine shortages and other public health challenges, underscoring the urgent need for widespread immunization.
