New developments in the investigation into the murder of Javed Butt, the brother-in-law of Teefi Butt, suggest that Ameer Musab, the brother of the deceased Ameer Balaj, may be involved in the crime.
Police reports indicate that the arrested shooters, Azhar and Ilyas, have implicated Ameer Musab in the murder. They revealed during interrogation that Musab had been in close contact with them and had provided support for the operation.
According to police sources, Musab is suspected of orchestrating the murder and was introduced to the shooters through an intermediary named Arif, a former employee. The shooters reportedly admitted that Ameer Musab ordered Javed Butt’s assassination.
Furthermore, they claimed that the contract for the murder was worth Rs500,000 and was arranged over the exchange of two houses.

Police sources quote Azhar and Ilyas are having confessed that they had met Musab personally, were in contact with him, and he supported them before and after the murder. Police investigations have revealed that Musab allegedly fled abroad just six days before the murder, likely as part of his escape plan.
Efforts are now underway to apprehend co-accused Arif, who is reportedly a resident of Pattoki and a former employee of Musab. The police are actively tracking his whereabouts, and further arrests are expected in the coming days.
On Monday, Lahore police confirmed the arrest of two suspects connected to the murder of Javed Butt, who was the brother-in-law of Teefi Butt. The killing of Teefi Butt occurred in Lahore.
One of the suspects, identified as Azhar, the shooter involved in the crime, was apprehended in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after a thorough search. Authorities revealed that Azhar, a known repeat offender, had been involved in planning the attack on Javed Butt.
Police stated that Azhar had been closely monitoring Butt’s movements prior to the murder. Both Azhar and his accomplice are now being interrogated by law enforcement to determine who orchestrated the killing.
