KP Tennis Association Celebrates Triumph of Young Tennis Stars Shayan Afridi & Junaid Khan

Peshawar: The KP Tennis Association (KPTA) warmly welcomed young tennis sensations Shayan Afridi and Junaid Khan upon their triumphant return from Nepal, where they showcased their exceptional talents in the ATF 12&Under Team Competition Regional Qualifying Event of South Asia. Their stellar performance led Pakistan to the final, overcoming all other South Asian teams with remarkable prowess.

Umair Ayaz Khalil, Senior Vice President of KPTA, lauded the young athletes, stating, “The performances of both Shayan and Junaid were exceptional. Their dedication and skill have made Pakistan proud.” This achievement marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s junior tennis scene, highlighting the potential of these young players on an international stage.

In his address, Khalil also extended heartfelt gratitude to Aisam ul Haq Qureshi, President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), for his unwavering support and dedication to nurturing junior talent. “We are immensely grateful to Mr. Aisam ul Haq Qureshi for his continuous support and the opportunities he has provided for our junior players,” Khalil remarked.

To further promote tennis at the grassroots level and inspire the next generation of players, Khalil invited President Qureshi to visit KP for a junior talent hunt initiative. This initiative aims to identify and develop young talent, ensuring a bright future for tennis in Pakistan.
