KP Chief Minister Criticizes Centre Over NFC Funds

Afridi Alleges Financial Injustice, Announces PTI Rally in Rawalpindi

PESHAWAR: (Web Desk) – Sohail Afridi has accused the federal government of depriving Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of its constitutional rights, stating that the province is not receiving its due share under the NFC Award.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, he said the province is entitled to more than Rs 1,375 billion from the federation, an issue that has been repeatedly raised at different forums.

The chief minister further claimed that victims under national policies are not being properly compensated. He added that the provincial government has extended support to affected individuals through its own resources, as no financial assistance has been received from the federal government during floods and other disasters. He also noted that Rs 20 to 30 billion has been cut from the provincial budget.
