Kashmir Youth Festival Kicks Off in Bhimber, Azad Kashmir

Government, Military Join Hands to Empower Youth in Azad Kashmir

Bhimber: The Kashmir Youth Festival was launched in Bhimber district, Azad Kashmir, through a collaborative effort between civil and military authorities. The inauguration ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Secretary Sports Azad Kashmir Rashid Hanif, Secretary Tourism Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, DG Civil Defense Abrar Azam, and Colonel Akbar Khan.

The festival features a cricket tournament, with 10 teams from 10 districts of Azad Kashmir competing until December 31. The event aims to promote young talent from across Azad Kashmir, including areas along the Line of Control (LoC). The festival will also include winter sports, such as events at Ganga Choti Toli Peer, and bike releases.

Secretary Sports Azad Kashmir Rashid Hanif emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting sports at the Union Council level. He highlighted the importance of sports in the social media era, stressing the need for unity among youth.
