Karachi Rain Forecast Predicts Thunderstorms From Monday

Karachi – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – The latest Karachi rain forecast has brought good news for residents tired of the sticky heat. The Pakistan Meteorological Department says rain and thunderstorms will begin hitting the city from September 14.

Weather experts say a low-pressure system formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal and nearby parts of Odisha in India. Right now, this system sits over Chhattisgarh and is slowly moving westward toward Pakistan.

Because of this system, several parts of Sindh are set to see strong rain. Areas like Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, and Tando Muhammad Khan may get heavy downpours along with thunder.

Other cities are also on the list. Sanghar, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Jamshoro should expect rain and thunderstorms between September 14 and 16.

As for Karachi itself, the Met Office expects only light rain and thunderstorms during this same three-day window. So the rain may not be heavy, but it should bring some relief from the humidity.

Before the rain arrives, though, the city will stay hot. Over the next two days, temperatures are likely to stay between 36 and 37 degrees, with humid air making it feel even warmer.

It is not just Sindh that will see wet weather. The Met Office also shared news about rain heading toward Punjab. A westerly wave is expected to reach the upper areas of the country over the weekend and grow stronger by September 14.

For now, people in Karachi and across Sindh are advised to keep an eye on daily weather updates, since rain timing and intensity could shift as the system keeps moving.
