Karachi Kings Edge Lahore Qalandars in Thrilling Last-Over Finish
Abdullah Shafique top-scored with 33 runs, while Haseebullah contributed 28.
Lahore (Web Desk) – In an exciting clash of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL 11), Karachi Kings defeated Lahore Qalandars by four wickets in Lahore.
After winning the toss, Lahore Qalandars opted to bat first but managed only 128 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Abdullah Shafique top-scored with 33 runs, while Haseebullah contributed 28.
For Karachi Kings, Moeen Ali, Mir Hamza, and Adam Zampa picked up two wickets each, restricting Lahore to a modest total.
In response, Karachi Kings successfully chased down the 129-run target in the final over, losing four wickets. Mohammad Wasim played a crucial knock of 38 runs, while Saad Baig and Moeen Ali chipped in with 18 runs each.
Despite Lahore Qalandars’ captain Shaheen Afridi delivering an impressive bowling performance with four wickets, his efforts were not enough to secure victory.
During the match, Karachi Kings were also awarded five penalty runs by the umpires after concerns were raised over the condition of the ball during Lahore’s fielding.
