ISPR Strongly Rejects Indian Army Chief’s Provocative Remarks

Military Spokesperson Criticizes Aggressive Rhetoric From Indian Leadership

RAWALPINDI: (Web Desk) – The Inter-Services Public Relations has strongly criticized recent remarks made by Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, stating that Pakistan is already an established and recognized nuclear power on the global stage.

According to the military’s media wing, the Indian army chief made provocative comments during a recent interview in which he reportedly questioned whether Pakistan wanted to remain part of “geography and history.”

Responding to the remarks, ISPR said Pakistan is an undeniable part of South Asia’s geography and history and emphasized that the country holds significant strategic importance internationally.

The statement further said the comments reflected an inability within segments of the Indian leadership to accept Pakistan’s existence despite the passage of more than eight decades since independence.

ISPR added that what it described as an arrogant and aggressive mindset had repeatedly contributed to tensions, wars and regional instability in South Asia over the years.

The military’s media wing also stated that threats directed toward a sovereign nuclear state cannot be considered responsible strategic or diplomatic conduct. According to ISPR, such rhetoric reflects dangerous hostility and a lack of strategic maturity.

The statement stressed that responsible nuclear powers demonstrate restraint, seriousness and diplomatic wisdom rather than provocative language capable of escalating regional tensions.

The latest exchange comes amid continued strain in relations between Pakistan and India, where political and military statements frequently intensify regional sensitivities.
