Islamabad’s Red Zone Sealed Off Amid PTI Protest Fears

Islamabad’s Red Zone has once again been cordoned off to block protests from political parties, causing major inconvenience for the public.

Containers have been placed on roads leading into the Red Zone, leaving only Margalla Road open for entry. In preparation for a PTI protest scheduled for Friday, containers have also been positioned at key points such as Chungi Number 26, IJP Road, and Faizabad in Rawalpindi, potentially leading to road closures.

Morning commuters faced heavy traffic jams as they struggled to reach offices and schools located within the Red Zone.

Frustrated citizens called on political parties to resolve their disputes through dialogue, emphasizing the need to minimize disruptions to everyday life.

Vehicular and pedestrian access to the Red Zone has been heavily restricted, creating significant challenges for residents and travelers. A strong police presence has been deployed throughout the sealed-off areas.
