Islamabad United Cruise to Victory Over Karachi Kings in PSL 10 Clash

Shadab Shines as Islamabad United Ease Past Karachi Kings

KARACHI: Islamabad United secured a comfortable 6-wicket win against Karachi Kings in the 10th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, held at the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan cited cracks in the pitch as the reason for his decision. The strategy paid off as Karachi Kings struggled to post a competitive total, managing only 128 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Karachi’s batting lineup failed to fire, with only Tim Seifert (30), Abbas Afridi (24), Saad Baig (20), and Khushdil Shah (17) offering resistance. Five of their batsmen failed to reach double figures. Islamabad’s bowlers put on a strong show, with Naseem Shah, Jason Holder, and Shadab Khan each taking two wickets.

In reply, Islamabad United chased down the 129-run target with ease. Sahibzada Farhan gave them a solid start, scoring 30 off 20 balls before being dismissed. Colin Munro managed just 4 runs before falling to Hassan Ali. Azam Khan added a quick 31, while Shadab Khan anchored the innings with a commanding 47 off 40 balls. He was dismissed just before the winning run was scored.
