Ishaq Dar: Pakistan Is Now a Global Peacemaker

Ishaq Dar Says Pakistan Peacemaker Role Wins World Recognition

ISHAQ DAR – (Web Desk) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar says Pakistan peacemaker status is now recognized across the world. He made these remarks while speaking to the media in Lahore on Thursday.

Dar said Pakistan was once seen as diplomatically isolated. But now, even countries that had no prior ties with Pakistan are taking notice.

“Pakistan is being discussed across the entire world,” he said. He added that countries which did not know Pakistan before now know it well.

He described Pakistan as a “middle power” that is playing an active role in global diplomacy. He credited Pakistan’s mediation between the United States and Iran for this recognition.

Dar also stressed the need to turn this diplomatic success into economic strength. He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is working hard to achieve that goal.

He recalled that Pakistan was among the top 25 economies in the world during 2013 to 2017. Strong growth, improved indicators, and peak foreign investment marked that period.

He said Pakistan later dropped to the 47th spot due to economic setbacks over four years. He added that it takes time to repair what was damaged.

“Matters are now moving in a positive direction,” Dar said. He expressed confidence that Pakistan is heading toward growth, development, and public welfare.
