Islamabad Police launch special campaign “Nasha Ab Nahe” to educate youngster on drug prevention

Islamabad: Isb Police Launch Special Campaign “Nasha Ab Nahe”. Following, the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has launched a special awareness campaign titled “Nasha Ab Nahe” to eradicate narcotics from the federal capital and to safeguard the youth from the menace of narcotics.

As part of this initiative, the Islamabad Police officers are also conducting a special awareness campaign regarding the dangers of narcotics and measures for prevention and control.

The use of narcotics, especially by students, is detrimental to their health and future. Addiction not only affects individuals but also leads to the destruction of entire families and societies. Addiction is a disease that not only ruins the lives of hundreds of young people but also subjects them to various hardships.

Youngsters should protect themselves from this scourge and play their part in protecting others in their surroundings from the menace of narcotics. Educational institutions should also organize awareness campaigns against narcotics through seminars and workshops.

IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that, the Islamabad Police will bring all elements involved in narcotics trade to justice. Citizens should cooperate with Islamabad Police in eradicating narcotics and resolve that addiction is no longer acceptable.

Citizens should report any suspicious individual or activity related to narcotics, through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or via “ICT-15” app.

-Securing the life and property of citizens is utmost priority; DIG Operations-

According to the details, the DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari has categorically directed all police officials to maintain high vigilance in the city to eradicate crimes and ensure an effective crackdown against criminals, a public relations officer said.

He said that, DIG Operations Islamabad chaired an important meeting regarding crime prevention. The meeting was attended by SSP Investigation, SP investigation, All Zonal SPs, DSPs, in charge ARDU, in charge AVLU.

DIG Operations issued instructions to further improve the performance of all officers. He said that challans of the cases under investigation should be sent to the courts, while the criminal gangs, absconder involved in murder, kidnapping and rape cases, proclaimed offenders, TOs, drug dealers, professional beggars should be arrested as soon as possible.

He further directed all officers to arrest offenders involved in heinous crimes, especially those involved in murder and robbery cases and increase the ratio of challan of cases and recoveries.

DIG Operations said that zero tolerance policy will be adopted on corruption, negligence, and strict departmental action will have to be faced for negligence in protecting the life and property of the citizens, protection of life and property of citizens is our top priority.

-Police determined to address public’ issues on priority; says Zonal SPs-

Following the special directions of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, all Zonal SPs held a Khuli Kachehri at their respective police stations, a public relations officer said.

He said that the Khuli Kachehri was attended by citizens and senior police officials.

Khuli Kachehris are being held across the city to ensure the early redressal of public complaints, he added.

At the outset of the proceedings, the participants shared their grievances and also gave suggestions to resolve them. The zonal SPs issued orders on the spot to address the issues of the participants and assured them that their suggestions will be taken into account.

He highlighted that police were determined to resolve the issues faced by the citizens. However, Khuli Kachehris were helpful in maintaining direct relationships with the public.

He asserted that better strategy on part of the police led to reduction in crime in the city. Islamabad Police are taking steps to control crime further.

He asked the participants to cooperate with the police in controlling the crime in the city.

Islamabad Police also launched an effective crackdown against those involved in drug peddling, land grabbing and criminal activities in their areas.

He urged the citizens to check the activities of the people in their surroundings and inform the police in case of observing the suspicious activities.

He added that effective policing is only possible through cooperation of the public and trust between them would be ensured through resolving their problems at their door steps. Any complainant can approach him for redressal of the issues.

The participants thanked the IGP Islamabad for organizing these Khuli Kachehris.
